Lex's personality is usually manipulative and certain he's in the right, though in some fics, he manages to maintain his status as Clark's friend and becomes an ally to the Justice League.

Thanks to the 1989 Meteor Shower, Lex has a heightened immune system that protects him from disease and has saved his life more than once. Also, due to the neural toxin Tess used on him, Lex's already above average intelligence has increased due to an increase in brain activity. He's also skilled in hand-to-hand combat thanks to the aid of an old chauffeur.

Weaknesses

Lex has most weaknesses as a standard human, but he is still immune to most diseases, and it seems impossible for him to bleed to death due to his accelerated white blood cell count.

With Tess having been removed from his mind by Superman and Green Arrow, Lex made a clone of Tess to try and see if she shares the mental link Tess made, which snaps at once, but not before Lex learns about Conner and Black Kryptonite. He then lures Conner to Cadmus, where Lena is, as he's followed by his friends Miss Martian, Blue Beetle, Zan, and Janya. Lex then confronts Conner with Kryptonite and tricks Conner into making Black Kryptonite, which separates Conner and Alex, with Alex siding with Lex and aiding in the restoration of Lex's memories by showing him a cure he'd developed as he began working on the neural toxin at Summerholt. Once Lex administers himself with it, all his memories return, and he lets Alex lock Conner, Miss Martian, Blue Beetle, Zan, and Janya up with the Tess clone, named Lena. Lex then calls Clark on a frequency only he can hear as it leads Superman to him along with Batman and Martian Manhunter. Lex then greets Superman as Clark and introducing him to Alex. Lex then tells Clark that Conner is with Lena and incapacitates Clark with Kryptonite, drops pipes on Batman, and using a lighter to incapacitate Martian Manhunter. He then introduced his creation. The Lucrative-Exo Suit 5000, nicknamed the Lexo Suit. He then has it fire blanks in the crowd as a gag and subtly threatens the visiting Chloe through her pregnancy by saying how he wouldn't want a miscarriage so late in her pregnancy. He then shows a video of the Lexo Suit being piloted by Sam and taking out several thanks with its machine gun and flame throwers on the side of its head. Once it was over, Lex took questions and wasn't surprised when Lois raised her hand and asked why Sam was piloting, and Lex left it to Sam to explain how he was perfectly protected within the suit. When Clark asked about the similarity to STAR Lab drones, Lex explained how it was to have an army similar to the Man of Steel. When Chloe asked about life support, Lex explained how it was strong enough for each suit to make it to Mars and back, taking the opportunity to point out how the Lexo Suit is also an instrument of exploration. Then the terrorists attacked and took the suit despite the intervention of Superman, Supergirl, Batman, Nightwing, Martian Manhunter, Miss Martian, Diana of Themyscira and Blue Beetle. Lex then meets two new friends of Lena from the future, Ayla Ranzz and Tinya Wazzo. Lex then explains to the three that Pax has already talked to him and left. He also reveals that he knows Tinya's status as a humanoid alien. He then calls the situation interesting as they head off. Once they're gone, Otis comes in and explains that Bruce Wayne has turned down the proposal for a joint venture in rebuilding the suit, which Lex accepts as it's more money for him. He then thanked Otis for bringing his car to take him to Watchtower while he gives Otis and Mercy the rest of the day off. Lex then arrived at the Watchtower, thanking Brainiac 5 for his support. When Chloe asked how Lex got there, he revealed he snuck in by manipulating Blue Beetle to use his access to alert the Watchtower to his presence. Crisis Part 1

After explaining the nature of the Crisis to the other Batman, Lex was left in the Batcave with the Legion of Superheroes keeping an eye on him. Once the Anti-Monitor, Kay-Tsu, was headed for Mississippi, Lex went with the Legion to get aid from his own counterpart, having been in contact with him since Ray-Lan's death. Lex then questioned the other Lex about his imprisonment as he last heard that the other Lex was in Arkham, learning he was transferred once the Anti-Monitors arrived. Once he was freed, Lex and his counterpart assisted in freeing Lawton and facing Kay-Tsu before returning to the Batcave to await an update on the situation. The Anti-Monitors, however, had fused into one being and escaped into another universe, so Lex and the others followed, arriving in a universe where the younger heroes were already firmly established.

Crisis Part 2

Lex arrives at the White House.

When Lex met the Young Justice, he helped convince them of the Crisis and informed his counterpart in that universe of the situation with Superman and the Young Justice Superman, recruiting him to their cause. He then confronted the Anti-Monitor's ship when it was over Washington DC. Once the Anti-Monitor retreats following Robin deactivating his weaponry, they follow him using the Warp Key again and end up in a universe where the League are veteran heroes.

Crisis Part 3

Lex observes Superman charge off to fight the Anti-Monitor.

When Lex met the older Justice League, he helped explain the Crisis to them. After Superman, Green Arrow, and the Flashes had rushed off to confront the Anti-Monitor for apparently kidnapping Jimmy Olsen, Lex regrouped with the five as the Anti-Monitor once again retreated to another dimension. Following him via the Warp Key, she and the others arrived in a universe with a Bat-Family around the heroes' age.

Crisis Part 4

Lex suggests getting help from another Luthor.

After Lex met up with the alternate Bat-Family, he helps explain the Crisis to them. After the League of this world joined up, Lex suggested getting the aid of this world's version of himself. Lex then went with that world's Superman and the other Lex to explain the Crisis to this world's Lex and recruit him. Lex helps monitor the situation from the Batcomputer with Lois, Chloe, and Tess. After Pax kills the Anti-Monitor and commandeers the Anti-Monitor's ship to use it to escape into another reality, Lex regroups with the others at the Batcave. Lex then joins the others in using the Warp Key Pax left behind to follow him to a universe where Oliver Queen is more like Bruce Wayne and getting held at arrowpoint by Arrow.

Crisis Part 5

Once Lex helped explain the Crisis to Arrow and his team, he stayed in the Arrowcave to try and find Pax since the Young Justice Batman exclaims that if he's going to stay, he's going to work. When the heroes went after Pax, Lex stayed in the Arrowcave with Lois, Tess, Diggle, and Felicity. After Pax had kidnapped Laurel's mother, Dinah, Lex was sent to Earth-2 by Nabu with the other heroes, where they ran into Ultraman.

Crisis Part 6

Lex goes after his alternate self.

Lex arrives at the Watchtower with the rest of the League and helps to explain the Crisis. When Pax sent out a screech to let the heroes with superhearing know where they were, Lex went with the heroes. However, Ellen quickly learned that Pax was now immune to lead thanks to having fused with his earlier self, and Pax kidnapped both Ellen and Earth-2's Bruce, leaving only Chloe left before Pax will be able to rewrite the multiverse.

Once Thea managed to activate Earth-2 Batman's signal, Lex stayed with Tess, Lois, Oliver, Earth-2 Oliver, Earth-2 Lois, Earth-2 Chloe, Thea, Felicity, Diggle, Ethan, the DCAU League, and the Young Justice League to protect Chloe as she'd just gone into labor. After Superboy defeated Pax and freed his hostages, Lex learned that Superboy sent Pax to the Phantom Zone and regrouped with the heroes at the Watchtower where Chloe had given birth to her son, Roy Gabriel Queen. In the year 2018, Lex's representative was trying to strong arm the Daily Planet in order to print or kill stories in Lex's favor, much to the dismay of its Editor-In-Chief Perry White. By 2018, Lex had been elected President of the United States. Shortly after Clark and Lois' wedding, Lex went up to his cabinet and stated how what he came to talk to the cabinet about had been his dream for eleven years, but it was delayed, first by the declaration of his death, and then his political career. He then states that he plans to show that the heroes are inspiring the people to do what is right, but to also assist with the economic crisis they're dealing with. He then explained his plan to build another city next to Metropolis called Omega City that he plans on constructing in two months, leading to millions being employed by its construction and the like also selling vacant buildings to businesses to make even more jobs, hoping that the other states will follow suit.

Lex when Supergirl was brought to LexCorp.

At LexCorp, Lex watched video footage of Superman saving people from a burning building as Lex mulls over how Superman's so much more confident rather than the lost soul in Smallville, with the only thing left from those days being the symbol on his chest, Chloe, and Lex from his point of view. He then wondered if Clark had truly gotten over the trials and tribulations he faced, and if Lex would let him. He's then notified that his helicopter back to Washington was ready, and Lex noted how the recently returned Batman seemed to be camera shy. When Scarecrow had infected a patrolling Supergirl with his fear toxin, Lex brings Scarecrow to him and asks his men to leave him before he angrily beats up Scarecrow for risking Superman getting involved at this early stage. After kicking him and punching him down, he threatens to cut Scarecrow's throat if he tries something like this again. Lex then has Supergirl stripped of what could lead Superman back to LexCorp, the termination of her communicator, and for her to be taken out, stating how the walls were led lined and the walls were reinforced to block Superman's hearing. During a meeting at LexCorp, Lex was talking with several people, including Tess, as he was talking to them about Omega City when Superman and Batman arrived. He welcomed them and learned from Superman that Joker had placed a bomb on the U from when LexCorp was LuthorCorp, and if he didn't help them, the place would blow up at midnight. Citing that as a shame, Lex excused himself and told them that he had the letters placed in the dump outside of Metropolis after they fell off. He then talked to Superman, wishing him good luck as they head off.

Demon

After Joker was apprehended, Lex visited Joker in prison with a member of the secret service. He then told his guard to wait outside. Lex then informed Joker that all the microphones have been turned off for two minutes, so he'll be brief, telling Joker that he did well in his attack. He then agreed to let Joker aid in Omega City. He then refused to let Joker call him Lex, though he does tell Joker that he'll be ROR'd soon. He then explained that he only has room for one and tells him that it's either Joker or Harley. Lex also explains that it's his final offer, assuring Joker that he'll be out in twenty-four hours. Later, at Lex's office, Lex hears that Oliver and Bruce are here to see him, so he lets them in. He then asked how Metropolis was treating them so far, learning that Bruce is extending his stay. He then learns that the two are offering their services for the construction of Omega City, so Lex shook each of their hands. Lex then said how with these two giving their support, Lex was sure more people would join their cause. When Alex infiltrated Omega City, Lex greeted Alex when he was brought forward by Riddler. Lex then knocked Alex out with a punch to the face. He then ordered Alex's mind blanked. Lex then confronted Lois and Chloe at the Planet, telling them that Lois' story won't be printed. He then greeted Chloe and said how he was there to talk to Lois and ignores Lois statement that she doesn't want to talk to him. He then sits at Clark's desk and asks why she doesn't want to talk to him. Lex then insists to Lois that he's trying to save the world, happy to explain. Lex then tells Lois that he and Clark are playing a game of chess, explaining that their superhuman arms race is to see who's better fit to protect the world, insisting that it's him. When Chloe brings up Lex killing Tess, he chuckles and explains that it was to save Tess from becoming him. When he discovered she was revived, he decided it'd be pointless to get rid of her and let the matter rest. Lex then refused to let Lois run the story as he was still in charge of the Planet and angrily threatened to tell everyone in the world that Superman was Clark Kent when Chloe said they could have the Register print the story. When Chloe called his bluff, Lex admitted that he wouldn't reveal Clark's identity, but he instead threatens Lois' as someone near and dear to Superman. He also threatens to reveal that Lois' child is Superman's. He also points out that by doing so, Superman would have to put himself in harm's way constantly. With Lois giving in, Lex brushed off Lois' angry words and demanded all the information she had on Omega City. He then warned her that if the slightest bit of information got to the public, he'd tell the world of her relationship with Superman, asking if she understood before asking again angrily as Lois agreed. Lex then made sure Chloe agreed before asking Lois who she got her information from, forcing her to reveal that it was Alex. Afterwards, Lex had Alex put in a glass prison, warning him that he should've stayed away. Lex then said how he gave Alex a life free of his influence, and he chose to destroy what Lex had been working hard to create. Lex then chided Alex that he should've known better about what happens when you incur the wrath of a Luthor. Lex then cryogenically froze Alex, telling him that he's going to hide Alex away, making him essentially disappear from existence, and no one will be the wiser. He then said good-bye to Alex, telling him he had so much potential before walking off as Alex was lowered into the floor.

Lionel

When Lex spotted the Lionel from Earth-2 at Omega City, he immediately confronted him and demanded to know what he was doing here. He also learned that Lionel knew about the lower levels, learning he'd told Alex about it to give Lex a test about dealing with bad publicity. When Lionel asked to take Ra's al Ghul's place in Omega City, Lex vehemently denied it. Lex then denies Lionel's status as his father, talking about the years of mind games he played on him and eventually telling him how when Lionel died, he killed him, being taken aback when Lionel was pleased by this. Lex then denies wanting Lionel's help again, telling him to go back to wherever it is he came from, saying this is his only warning. As Lex is at his desk at LexCorp when Tess barges in, Lex pretends not to know what she's talking about when she asks where Alex is. Lex lies about not knowing where Alex is and tells Tess to calm down. He then assures her that he doesn't know and offers her a tissue as her hand is bleeding. Lex then says that he doesn't know where Alex is, and that he was Tess' responsibility. He then has the secret service escort Tess out. Lex then asks what Lionel is doing there. Learning Lionel's offering his services as acting CEO of LexCorp, Lex believes he's simply trying to get back to his position. Lionel assures Lex that he doesn't want to take Lex's place, though Lex reminds Lionel that he threatened to shoot him if he came by again. He then locks the door and pulls out a gun that he points at Lionel. Lex then assures Lionel he meant what he said. When Lionel offered Lex information on Clark, Lex pulled back the clip and gave Lionel one chance. Lex then suggested Lionel surprise him, learning about Gold Kryptonite from him. With his curiosity peaked, Lex set down the gun and asked for more. Lex then put Lionel in charge of LexCorp, when Tess quit, wishing Lionel fun.

Mercy

When Tess was thinking about the missing Alex, she remembered Lex's involvement in splitting Alex from Conner and his involvement in playing his shoulder devil during their confrontation before letting Tess win the exchange since he got what he ultimately wanted, the return of his memories. In the present, Lex was starring out at Metropolis from his office in LexCorp, calling them all fools. Lex then asked Tess what she wanted when she barged in. Lex then lied to Tess that he doesn't know where Alex is, quickly changing the subject by jokingly referring to himself as an honest man. Lex then laughed at Tess calling Alex her son and noting that considering how long he'd been gone, Alex might be dead. Lex then demanded Tess' attention and continued to claim he didn't know before Tess hit Lex in the head with a pistol. Lex then questions Tess' believe that he's lying when he wipes some blood off his head, promising that Tess'll pay for striking him. Lex then insults Tess for attacking him here since security will be up soon, getting injected with a sedative that knocked him out while Tess carried him to a more private place. Held captive by Tess, Lex feels nostalgic for when this happened all the time as Lex mocks Tess for feeling jealous that Lois gets a kid, and Tess has lost hers. After a kick from Tess, Lex noted that he hadn't seen this side of her before outside of when they spoke just before his truck exploded. Lex then explained that he betrayed Tess' trust back then to have her stand on her own, disappointing him when she chose to stand with the League. Lex then added that Tess' emotions were getting the better of her since Lex doesn't have a motive for kidnapping Alex. When Tess mentions God, Lex gets angry and notes that gods are selfish beings who fly around in little red capes and don't share their power with mankind. He then criticizes Clark for still clinging to his life with the Kents, hiding from his greatness. Lex then asked Tess if it would make her feel better if he confessed to having something to do with Alex's disappearance. He then chided her by saying that she couldn't handle the truth. This resulted in Tess holding a gun to Lex. Lex then facing down, believing his destiny that only Clark can kill him. He then lied and said he had nothing to do with Alex's appearance, but he knows who did. This insighted Tess enough for Clark and Conner to hear her and arrive, though Lex was annoyed by the time they took. Lex then joked about Tess not liking him when she said that the Joker deserves to live more than him. When Lionel arrived, claiming he killed Alex, Lex was surprised that Lionel was taking the bullet for him. However, Lex was still held for ransom along with Lionel. However, Clark saves them both, and Lex asks Lionel why he saved him and claimed it didn't chance anything about his relationship with his Lionel. He then claimed that he wasn't through with Tess yet, wiping the blood from the side of his face and taking Lionel's phone, pressing charges on Tess for the kidnapping. When Tess was broken out by the Question, Lex spun that and the kidnapping as a nervous breakdown, promising two million dollars as a reward for anyone's information on her whereabouts and Question's. He then says that all he wants his Tess back home and safe since she's a dear friend.

Wayne

Lex later entered his office where Lionel was, remaining quiet when Lionel greeted him. Lex then explained to Lionel that he hasn't found any Gold Kryptonite and asks Lionel to explains. When Lionel expresses a believe that it's more plentiful in his world, Lex demands Lionel gets it until Lionel points out he doesn't have access to Earth-2. Lex is then given a Gold Kryptonite bullet from Lionel. Lex was then pleased to know that the enhancements for the Meteor Freaks was working, though he pointed out to Lionel that the scientist was talking to him. Lex then told Lionel not to get used to it since he's the only true Earth-1 Luthor now. Lex then gave the scientist the bullet to study it to see if they could replicate more. Lex then showed Lionel Project Power Girl, the Supergirl clone that was made to be completely loyal to both himself and LexCorp. Lex then lied by saying Power Girl was a clone of Clark with the DNA altered to female. He always tells the truth that he aged her to her physical prime and is fitting her with memories of being Clark's older cousin being sent to Earth to help Lex kill Clark. Lex then explained that Power Girl wasn't a friend, she was a weapon against Clark. Lex then called Eric Summers to him and gave him a mission. Lex was relaxing in his penthouse as he knew Batman was hiding there and greeted him in person. Lex then lied that he didn't know Joker. Lex then thanked Batman for saying he was too smart to trust Joker. Lex then asked if Batman thought he was dealing with Joker. Lex again denied it and insisted Batman was barking up the wrong tree. Lex then explained that he looked over Joker's file, and Batman would never be able to trace Joker to Lionel, Lex, or LexCorp. Lex then confidently explained that he always watched his back when Joker arrived. Lex, knowing Batman got too close, ordered Joker to keep his distance until he needed him. Lex then held a gun to Joker's head and told him to never acknowledge Lionel as his father. Lex then ordered Joker to get out, which he did. When Eric was depowered of his Kryptonian abilities by Clark and Bruce, Lex had him examined. Lex then explained that a second fight won't be necessary as Clark gave him the perfect way to defeat him, emitting Blue Kryptonite radiation, meaning if Clark gets close enough, he'll be powerless. He then says that he's going to test the range. Lex then looked at several gadgets, prepared for Project Regulas.

Nostalgia

During a baby shower for Clark, Lois, Chloe, and Oliver, Clark told Bruce about how Clark and Lex met when he saved Lex's life and also how they met just before Clark confronted Darkseid with Lex accepting his destiny as the villain since every villain is only as great as his hero. Oliver then joined the conversation saying how he would bully Lex and his friend, Duncan, at Excelsior. Bruce then says how shortly before Joe Chill's murder, Lex talked to Bruce about him dwelling on it. Lex is happy is father is coming to see him graduate but still empathizes with Bruce due to his mother's death, advising him not to be controlled by his pain but to use his pain to soldier on. Lex then explains what he's going to do after he graduates, considering the idea of Bruce and Lex working together before saying good-bye to Bruce and heading off. Lex was later looking over a list of items in his old Obsession Room when Lionel arrives, revealing the baby shower though Lex already knows due to Bruce buying fireworks for it from LexCorp. Lex then confirms for Lionel that he and Bruce went to Princeton together for a year before Bruce left for Gotham, also revealing that he knows Bruce Wayne is Batman through the arrival of Batman coinciding with Bruce Wayne's return, the fact that Bruce is the only one rich enough to surreptitiously buy the supplies to be Batman, and that Bruce arrived in Metropolis only a few weeks after Batman, praising his failed friendship with Clark as opening his eyes to the obvious, remembering his and Clark's confrontation at the Fortress where Lex admitted to embracing his destiny and demanding Clark to embrace his. Lex calls it one the defining moments of his life, though he refuses to say how he survived. Lex then drives to the farm and visits Clark, noting everyone else's mistrust. Lex takes a moment to note that he hasn't been at the farm in a while and gives Clark an envelope with a check to help with the baby, not blaming the people for being jumpy. Lex admits that this doesn't change anything, citing the gift as respect between enemies. This leads Clark to reminecing about how he and Lex used to be friends, particularly Lex saying that their friendship would be the stuff of legends.

Shortly after the baby shower, Lex called Lucas to him, without Lucas knowing who it was. He then told him to sit down and asked if he'd like his help. He then explains he wants to make Lucas a superhero to fight Superman and Batman. He then explains that all of his weapons will be laced with Blue Kryptonite to help depower Superman. He then promised Lucas that he'd be handsomely paid and gave Lucas the Red Hood's helmet. Lex then promised Lucas a bike before wishing him a fun day. At his office, Lex is looking out his window when the officer came in, and Lex learned that Lucas died. He then notes that the Project Prometheus revamp failed. He's then pleased that the scientists are still optimistic. Lex then acknowledged that it's sad about Lucas, but he dismissed it as part of business. He then explained that the equipment was made by Wayne Enterprises and Queen Industries, with LexCorp just buying it. When Lex is alone he walks up to the window and says good-bye to Lucas, imagining Lucas' face in the window before letting it fade away.

Conner Kent

A few months after Clark became Superman, Lex went up to Tess as she was looking over the blueprints for rebuilding the Mansion, commenting, that he can't say he approves of what Alexander did to the Mansion to show Tess that his memories had survived. He also claims that he had an antidote to the neural toxin handy, saying that the Master Work was more than just various pieces of clones, claiming to have survived the explosion of his truck and simply having the pieces of his clones grafted onto his ruined body, aided by Helen Bryce, using the time everyone thought he was amnesiac to position himself exactly where he needed to be for the coming events, choosing to be a better hero than Clark after hearing about the future from Pax, telling Tess that she'll see what his master stroke is and that he's still counting on Clark being there to stop him. Lex then meets Conner and notes how he says his name the same as Clark. He then explains what he explained to Tess. He then gives Conner the same speech he gave Clark, enjoying how Conner doesn't have patience with it. He also inquires about Alex, though assuring them that he doesn't plan on recruiting him. He also reveals that he let Alexander leave Cadmus with Tess and gave Oliver access to Clark's ship for his fight with the Unholy Trinity and taking credit for pushing Clark into becoming Superman, brushing off Conner's claim that it was Jonathan Kent with Lex calling Conner a brother, getting his goat. Lex then leaves and returns to Metropolis.

While Lex was at LexCorp, Alex arrived much to Lex's surprise, having become sick of distrust and apparently embracing being a Luthor. Lex then welcomed Alex to LexCorp as his little brother with a hug and a dark smirk.

At Cadmus, Lex is overlooking a child's room with his new chief doctor, Mercy, where a prototype of LX-15, a clone of Emily with Clark's DNA as a stabilizing agent was until her super speed developed recently, and she escaped. Lex insisted on not telling Alex of the situation as Emily was his prototype before walking off.

Before Emily developed superspeed, Lex talked to her, saying that he thinks they got off on the wrong foot. When Emily asked where Lana was, Lex assured her that he and Dr. Bryce would take good care of her before he walked off. In the present, Lex walked in on Tess trying to get Alex to come back to the Mansion, asking why he'd want to do that. When Tess snaps that Lex will just turn Alex into him, Lex pointed out that Tess was already doing a good job of that. When Tess said that Lex destroyed everything good in his life over a need for control, Lex pointed out that she did the same thing. He then asked what Alex had that he didn't, which was a brother. However, Alex seemed to choose Lex, so he left with Alex, noting how you win some, and you lose some.

Misconception

At Lex's penthouse in Metropolis, Victoria arrives. Lex then questions Victoria fixing tests as he didn't even know about any tests, learning that Victoria believes Conner and Alex to be their deceased twin children, with Lex clearly denying it. He then insisted that he put the children in an orphanage and pretended nothing happened to protect them from Lionel and giving Victoria a shrink following the incident with Hardwick Industries. Lex tried to explain, but Victoria refused and left, much to Lex's bemusement. After receiving a phone call, Lex explained to Helen that Victoria was holding Tess hostage, and if he didn't make a press conference stating that Conner and Alex were his and Victoria's children, she'd kill Tess, noting how similar it was to when Rachel Dunleavy held him hostage. Deciding to swallow his pride, Lex called Clark to explain the situation to him. Lex then pointed out that his problem had become Clark's as Clark easily picked up on the situation. Afterwards, Lex held a press conference specifically to declare that Tess has been kidnapped, and that he won't give in to Victoria's demands, telling her that if Tess is hurt, he'll put her away in a mental institution for good. After Superboy saved Tess, Alex confronted Lex at the penthouse. Lex then explained that shortly before the Club Zero incident, he and Victoria had spent the night together. Following that, Victoria went to Lex with twins for help. Knowing how Lionel would twist the children, Lex sent the twins to an orphanage called Smallville Charities that he had Tess create and had them put in a good home. However, they died just after their first birthday. Lex then asks Alex to leave as they've both had a bad day. Once Alex leaves, Lex ponders a picture of the twins with their foster parents, and a note explaining their deaths.

Chloe, I Blew Up Your Kid Part 1

Lex was looking over Tess' results in attempting to enlarge produce to aid in the fight against hunger, finding that the results were non existent as the projects either exploded or caused a power surge. As such, Lex called Tess and told him how they were pulling the plug. When Clark, Lois, Oliver, Chloe, and Tess went to LexCorp, already locked up for the weekend, Lex arrived, asking what they're doing there. When Clark explained that they need the growth machine, Lex asks why, insisting on being told since it's his technology or else he'll also revoke Tess' access. He then learned from Chloe that during the last testing, Roy was grown to eight feet due to an accident, so Lex allowed them to take the machine.

Chloe, I Blew Up Your Kid Part 2

When news of Roy escaping military custody, Lex arrived and informed General Wade Eiling that Roy no longer fell into his jurisdiction, and it was up to Tess, Chloe, and Oliver to get Roy and return him to his normal size. After Oliver thanked Lex, Lex informed the group that Roy was heading towards Metropolis, which would make him grow even bigger.

Smallville: Unfinished Business: Pax

Just after Tess put the neural toxin on him, Lex wondered why he wasn't feeling the effects when he remembered the delay as his memories flashed before him. As the letters of LuthorCorp fall off, Lex realizes that the neural toxin won't affect him because of how he returned, so Lex blatantly gloats about it to Tess before calming down, content that Tess will fade into obscurity with her death and calls a car to bring him around.

Lex is elected President.

In the year 2018, Lex's representative was trying to strong arm the Daily Planet in order to print or kill stories in Lex's favor, much to the dismay of its Editor-In-Chief Perry White. By 2018, Lex had been elected President of the United States. Shortly after Clark and Lois' wedding, Lex went up to his cabinet and stated how what he came to talk to the cabinet about had been his dream for eleven years, but it was delayed, first by the declaration of his death, and then his political career. He then states that he plans to show that the heroes are inspiring the people to do what is right, but to also assist with the economic crisis they're dealing with. He then explained his plan to build another city next to Metropolis called Omega City that he plans on constructing in two months, leading to millions being employed by its construction and the like also selling vacant buildings to businesses to make even more jobs, hoping that the other states will follow suit.

Smallville: Swann

Lex explains that Lana isn't at the Mansion and asks Clark why he and Virgil Swann are hanging out so much, which Clark puts aside as friendship. He went to the Caves before he got knocked out by Chloe.

Reckoning

Lana comforts Lex after he loses.

Lex lost the senatorial race to Jonathan. After Lex lost the senatorial race to Jonathan, Lex drunkenly asked Lana what she knew about Clark. He chased Lana in his car, and Lana was killed in a car crash. Lex also witnessed Clark super-speed to the scene of the accident. However, due to Clark reversing time, Lana didn't die in a car crash and Lex didn't see Clark. Lex later attended Jonathan's funeral.

Vessel

Zod possesses Lex.

Later, Lex was abducted by Brainiac and given Kryptonian powers. Unknown to Lex, he was chosen to be the vessel for General Zod, and Clark was told by Jor-El that he had to kill Lex in order to prevent Zod's return. Lex confronted Clark at the Kent Farm. He then attacked with his Kryptonian abilities, and Clark reacted to it, letting Lex know that he had the powers as he did. Eventually, the fight led to the Fortress of Solitude. Clark showed Lex a Kryptonian dagger Jor-El gave him. However, he tossed the dagger down as a sign of possibly starting their friendship over. Brainiac then grabbed the dagger and used it to open the portal for Zod. When Zod possessed his body, Lex became dormant and his spirit seemed to be "dead." After trapping Clark in the Phantom Zone, Zod posed as Lex for the time being, kissing Lana when she came to see what happened.

Lex managed to get free from Zod when Clark returned from the Phantom Zone and used the Crystal of El to separate Zod's spirit from Lex's body, restoring Lex back to normal with no recollection of the destruction he caused while possessed by Zod until he and Clark talked, and Clark revealed his secret to him, and they restarted their friendship. Lex then encouraged Clark to repursue a relationship with Lana, resulting in Lana learning Clark's secret and the two becoming engaged.

Justice

Lex's fear for Bart after it's confirmed.

Lex worked together with Ollie's team to investigate Victoria's taking of his old Level 33.1 project from before he and Clark became friends again. He reluctantly agreed to let Bart Allen, codenamed Impulse, look through Victoria's files, which leads to him being captured. Lex then agrees with Ollie to explain things to Clark. As such, he explains the 33.1 incident to Clark and works with Chloe and Dr. Swann to oversee the team from Watchtower with the codename of X. He then has Victor Stone, Cyborg, hack into the plant's security system to activate a self destruct system that goes off after Clark, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Impulse, and Cyborg escape after ensuring that Victoria and her team were evacuated. As Oliver and his team were about to leave to investigate more Level 33.1 facilities thanks to Lex giving them a list, he and Oliver bury the hatchet as he stays with Clark to look for the escaped Phantom.

Phantom

Lex went to the Kent Farm to talk to Clark after John Jones faced off with the phantom. Lex then went to the dam to keep Clark safe, but they end up cornered by the phantom, now with Clark's body, and Lex tries to drag Lionel off as the dam begins breaking.

Bizarro

Lex is saved by a mysterious woman.

As the dam was about to burst, Lex dragged his father to his car, but the water washed the car away. Fighting to stay alive, Lex saw an angelic girl in the river, and she later saved him and Lionel by bringing them to shore. Lex managed to catch a glimpse of her before she flew off. Lex explained the events to Lionel, who was unsure until he saw visual evidence that it couldn't have been Clark. Lex then explained what happened to Clark and the others when they arrived and helped Clark set up a trap for Bizarro. After Bizarro was dealt with, Lex explained what he could remember of the girl who saved him.

Kara

Lex finds a new fixation.

Lex investigates a spaceship with Clark when Lois arrives. Once the girl arrives and knocks Lois out, Lex stays with Lois while Clark goes after the girl, making an alibi for what happened. Lex then arrives at the farm when Clark catches up with the girl, revealed to be Clark's cousin Kara. Lex then helps Kara with heat vision. After discovering that Victoria had stolen Kara's ship, Lex helped distract Victoria while Clark, Kara, and Patricia got the ship back. Back at the Kent Farm, Lex gives Kara a head start on an identity Chloe developed for her. Lex then joins the gang in visiting Martha to introduce her to Kara.

Blue

Zor-El on Earth.

Lex and Kara eventually became a couple and had some alone time together during Lex's birthday. Shortly after clones of Lara and Zor-El were created, Kara introduced Lex to her father, with Lex managing to match Zor-El's subtle frets with equally strong defenses. He later questioned Lionel about Zor-El and learned of how he tried to kill Jor-El. Lex then informed Clark which led to a confrontation at Lionel's office and later the Fortress and Zor-El's defeat.

Persona

Lex helps Clark deal with Bizarro.

Lex encountered Bizarro while Clark was away, and he was beaten badly before being saved by Kara. Lex then confronted Clark at the barn with a knife made from Clark's ship, asking what Lara's last words were to prove that it was Clark. Lex then explains what happened to him. He then insists that they do something about Bizarro.

Descent

Lex remembers the truth about his first arrival to Smallville and of the Veritas Society.

Lex learns that a man claiming to be his twin brother was actually someone from an alternate reality where Clark never came to Earth, which Lex mused that he's not shocked by that fact considering all the weirder things. Lex also theorizes that they have to learn of a way to reveal that Earth-3 Lex isn't Lex's twin. Once the group met up, Lex learned the whole story of Clark's alternate universe journey and thought it was interesting, agreeing that his alternate self was a jerk. He then rushed out with the others when Lana confronted Clark about kissing Lois. Lex later saw a news report of Lionel apparently committing suicide, which Lex immediately didn't buy, believing that the other Lex had killed him. Lex then agreed to talk to Dr. Swann, and he revealed the truth about Veritas, which was why Lex and Oliver would often meet at the Queen Mansion. He then agrees to help find the Orb before the other Lex, working with Kara to retrieve the missing pieces. While they were away and Lana was made catatonic, Lex promised that he helped her. Lex then attended Lionel's funeral with the others, and he joined Clark in sprinkling dirt on his father's grave.

Arctic

Lex assisted in a way to find Brainiac with Clark, Chloe, and Kara when there was a power outage, giving Clark the clue to find him. Lex later noticed damage in the mansion and realized that the other Lex had discovered where the Orb was hidden and the location of the Fortress of Solitude. He then went to the Fortress to stop his alternate self where he was met with Clark. At the Fortress, Lex shot at him several times, but Luthor set off the Orb as the Fortress began crumbling. Desperate to save his friend, Lex dragged Clark to the transporter which miraculously transported the two away as the Fortress crumbled on Luthor.

Odyssey

Lex and Kara reunite after a month.

After the Fortress's collapse, Lex went missing and was presumed dead. Lex knew that in case he didn't return from the Arctic, he had to pick someone to run LuthorCorp so he appointed Tess Mercer as his successor. A month after his disappearance, Oliver found Lex and a powerless Clark in Russia being used for manual labor. Oliver managed to rescue the two as Lex reunited with Kara and introduced her to Tess, whom he explains had been working for him after he saved her life. He then went to LuthorCorp and retook control of the company, warning the board to wait until a body was found for them to claim he was dead again. He then revealed the other Lex as a fraud, made easy as he had recently bought the Daily Planet.

Bloodline

Lex was in a board meeting at LuthorCorp, discussing the Red-Blue Blur stories in the Daily Planet as well as discussing mysterious murders all over the city, justifying the story's credibility by Lois' reputation for telling the truth and reports of the Batman in Gotham, when Tess arrived and told Lex he had a call where Oliver explained how Clark, Kara, and Lois had gone missing, causing Lex to adjourn the meeting. Lex then arrived and inquired where Chloe was when she arrived and explained that she knew Lex's old friend Davis Bloome. Back at LuthorCorp, Lex was overlooking some files when Tess arrived and explained how Clark, Kara, and Lois returned, but she also explained how Davis Bloome was something called Doomsday, which Lex recognized as the Ultimate Destroyer from the Veritas Journal he inherited from Lionel. He then read aloud how Doomsday will beat Clark to death when Clark arrived stating that they can't give up on Davis as well as introducing Lex to a dog he found in the Phantom Zone, Krypto. Lex agrees with Clark to keep a good eye on Davis and try to avoid killing him.

Abyss

Lex went to Chloe's bridal shower with Tess and Kara where he reunited with Lana. He also tried to get Kara to calm down as she held a grudge against Lana for breaking Clark's heart when she left. Lex then attended Jimmy's wedding as a groomsman. He also told Clark that he helped Jimmy write his vows, getting inspiration from Friends. Just then, Doomsday arrived. Lex tries to shoot him, but Doomsday simply takes the bullets and proceeds to kidnap Chloe and put Jimmy into critical condition.

Requiem

At the mansion, Lex learned with Tess that LuthorCorp had somehow lost a deal to Victoria and LexCorp. Realizing they were bugged, Lex and Tess began looking with the bug being found by Kara. When Krypto arrived at the Mansion with Clark and began pulling at Kara's skirt, Lex insisted that Kara go with them as it seemed important with him and Tess keeping in touch via Watchtower before joking with Tess about how she secretly liked Krypto. A short time later, Oliver confronted Lex over Lionel arranging the plane crash that killed his parents. Lex advised Oliver not to dwell on it, drawing experience from when the other Lex killed Lionel. It's shown that Lex also has a picture of himself and Tess from before the Meteor Shower. When an explosion occurred at LuthorCorp that took out the board of executives, Lex and Tess survived as they were running late due to traffic. When Clark discovered the cause of the explosion was a toy monkey, Lex realized that it was an ex-employee named Winslow Schott, presuming he was hired by a recently revealed to be alive Lex from Earth-3. Lex then apologized for what his alternate self did, forcing Lana to break up with Clark. Lex then assisted the League in the search for Schott, also assuming that as the other Lex is alive, he is presumed to know everything about Clark. Lex later learned from Chloe that there was a bomb on top of the Daily Planet, deciding it was time to finish this with Tess and Oliver. They then meet up with Clark after Lana used a recently gained power-suit to absorb the Kryptonite radiation, explaining they were going to bring the other Lex in when his truck mysteriously exploded. Scanning the remains, Lex confirmed that it was the Lex from Earth-3. After Lana left once again, Lex checked on Clark and agreed with Clark's idea to continue to pursue his relationship with Lois and look to the future with Lex wondering what happened to the other Lex.

Lex explains that Lana isn't at the Mansion and asks Clark why he and Virgil Swann are hanging out so much, which Clark puts aside as friendship. He went to the Caves before he got knocked out by Chloe.

Reckoning

Lex lost the senatorial race to Jonathan. After Lex lost the senatorial race to Jonathan, Lex drunkenly asked Lana what she knew about Clark. He chased Lana in his car, and Lana was killed in a car crash. Lex also witnessed Clark super-speed to the scene of the accident. However, due to Clark reversing time, Lana didn't die in a car crash and Lex didn't see Clark. Lex later attended Jonathan's funeral.

Vessel

Zod possesses Lex.

Later, Lex was abducted by Brainiac and given Kryptonian powers. Unknown to Lex, he was chosen to be the vessel for General Zod, and Clark was told by Jor-El that he had to kill Lex in order to prevent Zod's return. Lex confronted Clark at the Kent Farm. He then attacked with his Kryptonian abilities, and Clark reacted to it, letting Lex know that he had the powers as he did. Eventually, the fight led to the Fortress of Solitude. Clark showed Lex a Kryptonian dagger Jor-El gave him. However, he tossed the dagger down as a sign of possibly starting their friendship over. Brainiac then grabbed the dagger and used it to open the portal for Zod. When Zod possessed his body, Lex became dormant and his spirit seemed to be "dead." After trapping Clark in the Phantom Zone, Zod posed as Lex for the time being, kissing Lana when she came to see what happened.

Lex managed to get free from Zod when Clark returned from the Phantom Zone and used the Crystal of El to separate Zod's spirit from Lex's body, restoring Lex back to normal with no recollection of the destruction he caused while possessed by Zod until he and Clark talked, and Clark revealed his secret to him, and they restarted their friendship. Lex then encouraged Clark to repursue a relationship with Lana, resulting in Lana learning Clark's secret and the two becoming engaged.

Reunion

While at Excelsior Academy Preparatory School in 1996, Lex and his friend Duncan Allenmeyer were bullied by Oliver. Lex eventually turned on Duncan to gain Oliver's acceptance and beat him up so brutally, Duncan stumbled into the street and was hit by a car. Lex later encountered his old classmate Oliver Queen at their Excelsior Academy class reunion, and he had to come to terms with the events that happened years ago. Shortly after, Oliver's old friends were killed in violent and mysterious accidents that pointed to Duncan Allenmeyer. Lex confronted his father about this and learned that Lionel used Kryptonite to keep Duncan's brain alive. Once Clark convinced Duncan to accept that Lex was sorry, Lex personally apologized to Duncan, whose spirit was attacking the Mansion, allowing him to die in peace.

Justice

Lex worked together with Ollie's team to investigate Victoria's taking of his old Level 33.1 project from before he and Clark became friends again. He reluctantly agreed to let Bart Allen, codenamed Impulse, look through Victoria's files, which leads to him being captured. Lex then agrees with Ollie to explain things to Clark. As such, he explains the 33.1 incident to Clark and works with Chloe, Bridgette, and Dr. Swann to oversee the team from Watchtower with the codename of X. He then has Victor Stone, Cyborg, hack into the plant's security system to activate a self destruct system that goes off after Clark, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Impulse, and Cyborg escape after ensuring that Victoria and her team were evacuated. As Oliver and his team were about to leave to investigate more Level 33.1 facilities thanks to Lex giving them a list, he and Oliver bury the hatchet as he stays with Clark to look for the escaped Phantom.

Phantom

Lex went to the Kent Farm to talk to Clark after John Jones faced off with the phantom. Lex then went to the dam to keep Clark safe, but they end up cornered by the phantom, now with Clark's body, and Lex tries to drag Lionel off as the dam begins breaking.

Lex was visited by a man going by Chad North who was actually Kyodai Ken. Lex stated he didn't know anything about Bruce Wayne being in Smallville and simply countered his threats. Lex then went to Bruce, having figured it out but keeping it secret, and telling him about Kyodai's visit. Learning from Bruce that he died last year.

Crisis

Lex confronted Lionel over Kyodai Ken, though Lionel lied about it and threatened him with General MacArthur's revolver. The two were then kidnapped by Kyodai and held in Level Three. They were saved by Clark and Bruce. Lex later assured Clark that he'd figure out how Lionel made the Lazarus Serum that revived Kyodai.

Lex also used a model his father gave him to link Clark's crush on Lana to the Battle of Troy, giving Clark Lana's necklace in a lead box as his Trojan Horse. Lex then mused over the Meteor Rocks and making fun of how Tess does the same, particularly with the Porche.

While Clark was dropping off produce, Lex arrived, and Clark pointed out that he should be a little slower. Lex then learns that Clark heard from a psychic named Cassandra that someone close to Clark was going to die. Lex scoffs at the idea. That night, he gets a visit in his office from Lionel, who gives Lex an offer to return to Metropolis, heading three divisions, unsure of what to do, made worse by Julian refusing to talk to him because of this, Lex goes to Cassandra. After she receives a vision of Lex helping Superman face Darkseid, Cassandra says to keep Clark close. Lex then shows the Porche from the accident to Clark before scraping it, saying he's putting the past behind him. He also states that he's staying in Smallville to Lionel, who states that the offer still stands when he's ready. The next morning, Lex arrives to visit Cassandra again, but she's passed away.

Craving

Lex developed an interest in the effects that the meteor rocks had on humans, but he dropped it in favor of helping Clark with Lana's birthday present.

Jitters

Earl and Lex end up dangling 30 feet above a concrete floor.

He was at his most heroic this year when Earl Jenkins took hostages inside the LuthorCorp fertilizer plant. Lex entered the plant to negotiate and became a hostage in place of the others.

Rogue

Lex has a new proposal for Victoria.

Lex showed his callousness when he renewed his relationship with Victoria Hardwick as a means to an end.

Hug

Lex went to Rickman's banquet with Victoria. He also insulted Rickman for his tendency to pollute the community he builds one of his plants in, especially since his mother helped get Rickman his first job. When Tess arrived to say Lillian wanted to see him, Lex assured Victoria that he and Tess are just friends. Lex then warned Clark that Rickman wants his farm, with Clark explaining that he thinks a man named Kyle didn't hurt Lana earlier, but he's one of the only ones who thinks so. Lex encourages Clark not to back down from his view. The next day, Lex learns that Jonathan sold the farm to Rickman. Lex looks over the contract and says he should be able to get them out of it. He also offers sanctuary to Kyle as well as getting a surgeon to stitch a gunshot up. He also defends his decision from Lillian as he believes Clark's right about him. After a run in with Rickman's assistant, Mercy Graves, Lex talks with Clark and Chloe, finding out that Rickman and Kyle were trapped in a car during the '89 Meteor Shower. Lex gets them to the Mansion and has them go off while he stops his mother from stopping them by inquiring if she knew Kyle was gone. While she was gone, Rickman arrived and brainwashed him into killing Kyle. This leads to Lex confronting Clark in a gas station and shooting him repeatedly before Clark knocks him out. After Rickman is killed and Kyle disappears, Lex comes up and talks with Clark, promising their friendship is the stuff of legend.

Roger later showed Lex a video simulation of how Clark saved him, which impressed Lex, but he also reminded Nixon that his job was the research the meteors. Lex also reminds Roger that no one will find out the Clark side of the story. He then observed a blur from the night Phelan died as Victoria approaches him. Lex assures her he's fine. He then goes to Clark to question him about the accident, leading Clark to dare him to hit him with a hammer. Lex denies and watches Clark walk off angrily. Lex then met up with Sir Harry and Victoria, learning they were going to take LuthorCorp for themselves using Cadmus, telling Victoria that he hoped it was worth it. Lex then apologized to Clark for not trusting him after he's tossed around by Eric Summers. Lex then gets called into another meeting with the Hardwicks when they discover that he tricked them since Cadmus Labs was worthless. After Hardwick's company was bought out, he gave it to Victoria and left. Lex then told Roger that the Kents were off limits, and he also learned that the whole Hardwick debacle was a scheme by Lionel.

Zero

In 1999, Lex took Amanda Rothman to Club Zero knowing she would see her fiancé Jude Royce flirting with other girls. When Jude attacked Lex, Amanda shot and killed him. Lionel handled the incident in such a way that Lex's name stayed out of the papers. Three years later, Lex seemed to be hunted by a returned Jude Royce, who did such things as leave the hand of Club Zero's bouncer, Max Kasich, in the Talon, personally haunting him, demanding the truth about Club Zero, and finally kidnapping him after dumping LuthorCorp waste on the Kents' farm. Afterwards, Lex learned that the returned Jude was actually just a double, and that the real mastermind was Amanda's brother, Roy Rothman. He tried to shoot Lex for indirectly killing Amanda by cutting her out of her life during Club Zero when Clark arrived and covertly stopped him. Lex then thanked Clark at the Talon's grand opening and told him the truth about that night.
